| Event | Monarch PEAK Migration |
| Date of Sighting | 10/16/03 |
| Comments | October 16, 2003 This has been the most intense butterfly season in this area since at least back in 1972. I have been spotting migrants between Meridian, Ms and Laurel, MS for more than a month. We are seeing migrants all over Laurel, Ms. They are all heading into the sun and they are all at that telltale height doing the bat, bat, glide motion. Today I saw three within a block and a half of 7th Avenue and 7th Street, within 1/2 a minute in time.
