| Comments | Just wanted to report that the Monarch Migration has
reached Val Verde County as of Sunday the 12 of
October. My ranch ( located at the intersection of
S.H. 277 and S.H. 377, 27 miles north of Del Rio) was
covered in Monarchs Sunday. With the storm system
having just blown through they seamed to have arived
on it's coat tails. I saw a steady stream of them
flying south through the early part of the day, with
the larger trees being covered with them by late
afternoon. Not sure how many I actually saw but I
would conservatively guess them to number in the
thousands. Contributed to Monarch WatchMigration Highlight |
