Comments	This afternoon I found numbers of monarchs almost entirely on New England Aster. This is a change from days ago, when all of the monarchs seen were nectaring on goldenrod, exclusively. Tagged about 150 in two hours - best numbers we've seen since the migration began. Our field closest to Lake Erie had hundreds and hundreds of monarchs. The field 3 or 4 miles inland had many fewer. Overall, we are seeing higher numbers here in far western New York State than we have seen in many years of tagging. Contributed to Monarch WatchMigration Highlight
