| Event | Monarch Migration Sighting |
| Date of Sighting | 10/16/02 |
| Comments | Until 10/16/02 we had seen only a few isolated monarchs. On that date, we began seeing more. Last fall, about 100 monarchs roosted overnight in a juniper tree just feet from our house. We are watching for a roost, but none yet. On 10/16/02 anywhere we looked, we saw another monarch. Although so far there haven't been as many as in past years, the numbers are encouraging. |
