| Comments | While paddling kayaks on Lake Ontario out from my favourite tagging
location at Oakville Harbour this evening, I counted almost 2 dozen
cross the harbour within a few minutes heading west towards the
butterfly bush. More amazing though, was the reverse migration we witnessed- literally dozens, were flying from way out on the lake to the north shore. This occurred at about 6:00 pm EDT as the sun was starting to descend. It was, for sure, one of the most beautiful paddles I've had, and especially since I was introducing a fellow teacher to the pleasures of sea kayaking- and Monarchs, at the same time! |
