| Event | Monarch Migration Sighting |
| Date of Sighting | 09/16/02 |
| Comments | Beginning on Monday, 9/16/02 and then again on Tuesday and Wedneday our First Graders noticed a single monarch gliding around on the playground as they played. We are not certain that we saw the same monarch each day or a different one. We noted that monarchs had not been present during the summer vacation months and these were the first spotted since school started.
I personally saw a monarch in my backyard which is located about 3 miles from the school on Wednesday 9/18/02. It was feeding on my butterfly bush. |
