| Comments | We are seeing Monarchs flying around Cresco and our schoolyard over the past days. We are not at peak migration but we have observed Monarchs in clusters roosting on trees at night and we are watching the "special" trees at Kessel Park for Peak Migration.
Our 5th and 6th graders at Crestwood Elementary are again being "awed" by the 20 some caterpillars that we are watching change before our eyes. We have released the first 4, all males so far!
WE even released some today as a part of our special SEPT. 11 ceremony-true symbols of freedom and beauty!!!!!!!!WE named him Liberty. WE enjoy the website so much. |
