| Event | Monarch PEAK Migration |
| Date of Sighting | 09/29/01 |
| Comments | Observed a large number of monarch butterflies in the trees on our ranch, while moving tractors to drill wheat. About 4 trees were full of butterflies. I saw them just before sunset. Looked at a 10 inch section of a branch and counted 7 butterflies. They were gorgeous.
After having seen this, I wished I could remember where I had seen the website about their journey north. I was thrilled just now when I found it again, and will share it with my students immediately. They will be interested in following this project via your website. |
