| Comments | Spent the day (9/22) visiting Clinton & Warsaw MO (by Truman Lake), about 110 miles SE of Kansas City, MO.
What a day for butterflies! I have never witnessed such a heavy migration. While at Clinton, the skies were full of Monarchs, too many for me to count, but I figured they were coming at the rate of 30 or more a minute.
While at Warsaw, again saw incredible numbers of Monarchs, flying in large groups ranging again up to 50 a minute. Awesome!!! In an hour saw thousands floating high above the trees, they just kept coming and coming.
