New Math and Science Activities for Middle Schoolers

Bring math and science to life for middle school-aged children by trying the two newest additions to our growing collection of online math and science activities. In the science activity Exploratory Walk, a walk through your house will help heighten your child's awareness of sensory experiences and allow him or her to see how the senses interact in learning.

In the math activity Building Viewpoints, your child will build a structure from cubes and see how architectural drawings are used to construct buildings. This activity helps develop children's skills in geometry and spatial perceptions.

Whichever you choose—and we hope you try both—these activities use materials found around the house and are sure to make your child more aware of how math and science are used in everyday life.
